Worldwide plaza

Mercury Mirror

Created for the residential entrance of the iconic New York City skyscraper Worldwide Plaza, Mercury Mirror is a 39” W × 48” H wall sculpture nestled within the elevator bay. Its mirrored glass shimmers as it interacts with the surrounding architecture, reflecting and transforming the space. Inspired by the ancient principles of yin and yang, the sculpture comprises 24 triangular bars, each divided into a dark side and a light side. The dark (yang) side holds 145 small light tiles (yin), while the light (yin) side holds 145 small dark tiles (yang), creating a visual interplay of opposites that evokes balance and harmony. The sculpture’s irregular border echoes the Manhattan skyline, as though reflected in the waters of the nearby Hudson River.
