Tamid ark restoration

Located in historic St. Paul’s Chapel in Lower Manhattan, the Tamid congregation undertook an extensive restoration of their treasured ark. I was commissioned to create two mosaics anchoring its lower portion: a menorah, symbolizing strength and courage, and a Star of David, representing unity and national pride. The Star’s interlocking triangles express the relationship between humanity and God. Each 16” x 18” mosaic is crafted from stained and silvered glass and finished with ivory grout.
